Accessibility statement

MeDeSe wants every visitor to be able to read about equipment, request service and contact the team, whatever device or assistive technology they use.

The standard this site is built to

This website is designed and built to meet WCAG 2.2 AA — version 2.2 of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines, at conformance Level AA. Accessibility is treated as part of the build rather than a later pass: automated checks run against the pages, and keyboard and screen-reader review is carried out before a release.

Supported interaction methods

  • Keyboard

Every interactive element can be reached and operated with a keyboard in a logical order. A skip link is the first focusable item on each page, focus indicators stay visible on light and dark surfaces, and no overlay traps focus.

  • Screen readers

Pages use standard landmarks, one heading structure per page and text alternatives for images that carry meaning. Decorative textures, grids and light effects are hidden from assistive technology.

  • Reduced motion

When your device or browser requests reduced motion, animation and smooth scrolling are suppressed. No animation is required to understand a page.

  • Small screens and zoom

Layouts are supported from a 320px-wide viewport upwards, and content reflows and stays readable at up to 400% zoom without horizontal scrolling.

  • Touch

Primary controls are at least 44 by 44 CSS pixels, with comfortable spacing between adjacent actions.

Known limitations

  • Three-dimensional and animated scenes

Where the site uses WebGL or animated technical scenes, they are decorative. Everything they illustrate is also available as ordinary text and controls, and the scenes are not required to complete any task.

  • Legacy product photography

Some product images were carried over from the previous website. Their alternative text is being improved product by product, so a small number of descriptions are still brief.

Report an accessibility problem

If something on this site is difficult or impossible to use, please tell us. Include the page address and a short description of what happened, and MeDeSe will look into it and can supply the same information in another format.
